I have a DCM seat and guide machine HM 2000l, with large air float table. I'm now using a cutter setup that came with the machine. Single 3 angle cutter goes into different diameter heads, size it set with a setting fixture. This does not have a ball drive like many other systems I've seen. You have to setup on every guide exactly before you cut.

There is no way DCM is going to tell a potential customer of a new machine they can't have it 3 phase. Well maybe now. Mine has the control box on the back that runs the variable speeds and the up/down feature. Does yours have variable speed?
The IDL is the basic and original seat and guide machine. I own an IDL 650 It's good and fast for replacing integral guides in cast iron heads. ( core drill, ream and install the conversion guide) It's just O.K. for installing seats on domestic heads. It's better on inline heads than canted by far.
