Iron ore is mined far away in the middle of the Sahara, transported by the train to Nouadhibou port which then returns back into the desert empty.
But the highlight of this expedition is surely when we will hitch-hike the iron ore cargo train. 650 kilometers from the mining field in Zouérat to the coastal town of Nouadhibou. We will climb on top of the carriage and travel for about 18 hours through the amazing Sahara desert with the wind in our face. (And a lot of iron ore dust)
