Durotar is an excellent place to farm Copper Ore, there are a few caves in this zone and usually there are 3-4 Copper Veins inside those caves. Darkshore - Alliance. Darkshore is the best place for Alliance players. Even Horde players can go there with flying mount. I was able to get 200 Copper Ore with just one lap in this zone. IMPORTANT!

Comment by Thottbot get my mining lvl up from 90-125 was difficult at first because i went to like 20 diffrent places in azeroth and then i found the Incendicite veins (or something like that) and Tin Veins in the Thelgen Rock in Wetlands my Skill went up from 90-125 in under 1 hour and i also found a couple Silver Veins but they were pretty rare in there.
Khorium Ore is the rare ore in the Outlands. It's found all over the Outlands except in Hellfire Peninsula and Zangarmarsh. This is a really great ore to farm because it is really valuable. A Khorium Bar can sell for 60 gold. Not a stack, a single bar! You will want to be level 65-70 and have mining at level 375 before trying to farm Khorium.
THE best place I think to mine Copper is Venture Co Mine in Mulgore, south sast of Thunder Bluff (entrance is at 60, 49). It has level 8-10 mobs and a lot of veins spawn like hell. Be sure to also go to the top and exit the mine: there's a little camp with two or three veins too.

Farming Silver Ore in Hillsbrad Foothills. Hillsbrad Foothills is probably the best place to farm Silver and Tin. Just head into the Ruins of Alterac and circle the outer edge near the mountains. Make sure you mine all the minerals you see so that each location has a chance of coming back as Silver.

I went into each of the caves once, and I did the whole circuit once in about 30 minutes, getting a total of 74 Copper Ore.That makes roughly 7-8 stacks per hour.If you just sell the ore, you can get around 0.5g per stack for it, so that would be around 4g per hour, not counting the Rough Stone and possible gems.

Once you mine any necessary ore to increase your skill and go train it some more and after you level up any second profession you might have, sell your leftover ore/bars on the auction house, you'd be surprised at the prices even the most common and easy to get ore can sell for. I once sold a couple copper ore for 30 gold each!
You will find Iron anywhere you go in Feralas, it's the best place to mine Iron. You could actually just do laps at the northern area without going to the southern area. Western Plaguelands. Western Plaguelands is also an excellent place to farm Iron, just don't go to Hearthglen because there is no ore there. Stick to route I recommend.
