We enjoyed a lovely Saturday morning at the Irene Village Mall at Piza é Vino to try out their new breakfast menu. Under the shade, watching the kids play in the water, we were feeling really relaxed.
The manager and staff were extremely friendly and often made the rounds to ensure that all patrons were happy.
The choices on offer were all tantalising, and it took us some time to make up our mind as to what we wanted.
I chose the Viva La France french toast as I am very partial to egg-soaked fried bread! The french toast consisted of 2 slices of bread, nicely fried, some bacon, thyme coated cherry tomatoes and brie cheese topped with some wild rocket. The flavours complimented each other so well. The french toast, being average bread slices, were not lumps of bread that filled you up. The portion size was perfect without making one feel stuffed.
My friend opted for the healthier option – the Carpe Diem. Sautéed spinach, devilled mushrooms and 2 poached eggs on Turkish bread. According to her the meal was very tasty.
With other options including The Three Musketeers omelettes, the Piza E Vino Deluxe with a 75g sirloin steak and The Health Nut – fruit, granola and yoghurt, you are sure to find a tasty breakfast to start your day off well,
The breakfasts all come with a free cappucino which is a fantastic saving if you consider the already well-priced breakfast. Fruit juices are Sir Juice, which means no watered down, sweetened juice.
Overall, a very satisfying meal.
Be sure to try it out soon, as the menu will change every couple of months.
