Beautiful surroundings are almost as important as good food. There is something to be said about feasting your eyes on interesting/pretty/strange decor while enjoying your drink and waiting for the food to arrive.
I found myself drinking in the simply stunning interior of the Piza e Vino situated in the Eagles Landing centre.
The decor has some urban touches, but with warm elements of wooden tables, gold mosaic tiles and comfortable tartan covered chairs.
The barmen are dressed in newsboy caps and thin ties and the slightly jazz type music is reminiscent of a bygone era.
We ordered the Sun is Shining breakfast.
What the menu doesn’t tell you is that you get a plate full of food; 2 crispy pork sausages, a heap of bacon, 2 eggs, toast and hand-cut chips.
The value for money is incredible and the meal is enough to feed a very hungry tummy. The orange juice is thick and along with my usual cappuccino, I walked out of there absolutely stuffed.
On our way out I spied a plate of tempura prawns being served and they looked incredible.
The service is very good. The waiter didn’t realise we were representing the blog until right at the end when I told him, so I am happy to report that the food and service was very good regardless.
